Author’s note: If you are new to my blog and are interested in reading the 23.xx series, please first read the 23.01 through 23.09. Consider how I arrived where I am and maybe we’ve crossed spiritual paths. I am impassioned by Jesus Christ’s teaching of the “narrow gate” (Matthew 7:13-14) and, in love, my posts are focused on driving your attention to that critical truth.
As I eluded to last week, this post is related to my viewing of the movie Sound of Freedom.
It’s one of my more complex posts I’ve written this year, so, here it goes…
“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Again, you shall say to the children of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who gives any of his descendants to Molech, he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones. I will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given some of his descendants to Molech, to defile My sanctuary and profane My holy name. And if the people of the land should in any way hide their eyes from the man, when he gives some of his descendants to Molech, and they do not kill him, then I will set My face against that man and against his family; and I will cut him off from his people, and all who prostitute themselves with him to commit harlotry with Molech” (Leviticus 20:1-5).
So who or what is Molech?
In the kingdoms that populated the lands promised to the Israelites, the people were practicing worshippers of pagan gods, one of which was Molech. Molech is mentioned a few times in the Bible, Baal is mentioned more often, which was another form of worship which was against the Law and nature of God.
One of the chief practices of Molech and Baal followers was human sacrifice, particularly children. I will not go into the obscene details but, by contrast, recall how God tested Abraham’s faith in the beginning when God instructed Abraham to sacrifice his only son.
People may wonder, “What about Abraham? Didn’t God order Abraham to slay his son on an alter?” Yes, but this was a test of Abraham’s faith. One of the key principles in Christianity is that there is nothing greater than our obedience to God. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30).
I am not aware of any other case in the Bible where God tests anyone to sacrifice their children for His sake, however, the truth remains, believers in God through Christ must place the will of God higher than any earthly interests, even one’s own family. Even though the respect and honor intended for infra-family relations, is held very high, the family unit is critical in Godly social organization beginning with the sanctity of Marriage, particularly because marriage between a man and a woman is symbolic of the relationship of God and the Israelites, and by extension, Christ and the Church.
Nevertheless, in God’s plan. for all blessings come from God and the best decisions, including those related to family, should be done with the utmost reverence to God’s moral law and will.
“Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
And He said, ” Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me” (Genesis 22:9-12).
If you understand the Gospel, you know that although God does not want us to sacrifice our children on an altar to any god, God was willing to provide us His own Son to become a substitutionary sacrifice for all who will believe.
The Israelites in the period after King David’s reign to the Fall of Jerusalem and exile to Babylon was a period where the Israelites succumbed to pagan worship. They had disobeyed God, ignored the warnings of the prophets, and even murdered them. With ample warning, from both God’s prophets and even within the Law of Moses itself to repent from their sinful ways in order to maintain God’s security and blessings (see Leviticus 26), God released His righteous wrath and executed judgment against Israel by the pagan nations of Assyria and Babylon.
[The Israelites] did not destroy the peoples,
Concerning whom the Lord had commanded them,
35 But they mingled with the Gentiles
And learned their works;
36 They served their idols,
Which became a snare to them.
37 They even sacrificed their sons
And their daughters to demons,
38 And shed innocent blood,
The blood of their sons and daughters,
Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus they were defiled by their own works,
And played the harlot by their own deeds.
40 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people,
So that He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles,
And those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them,
And they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43 Many times He delivered them;
But they rebelled in their counsel,
And were brought low for their iniquity.

What about this incessant depravity targeting children?
You may have made the connection already, evil has been around and evil preys on the innocent, including children. I’m not going to give you a comprehensive list about how children are abused, just a couple, one is direct the other is indirect, that come to mind.
If you think that preying on children has changed from before the times of Moses, it hasn’t. It involves evil in all forms, within religious sects and any belief system that is opposed to God.
Although nowadays society isn’t necessarily burning children or slaying children for the express purpose to appeasing a graven idol, the depraved minds in society still feed on the exploitation and murder of humans, and especially children.
Children are becoming easier prey, why is that? Because without a strong family children are vulnerable. Parenting and a faith in Marriage has been under attack for generations. Without strong marriages and an underlying belief in the sanctity of Marriage, and a fear and reverence for the holy and righteous God who sanctifies Marriage and human life, children become exploitable in ways unimagined only a generation or two ago.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN THROUGH THE DESTRUCTION OF THEIR BODIES
To give you an idea how detached a certain sects of education and medicine have become in regards to the development of children, at an age where most children are not even sure what they want to “be” for Hallowe’en, they are being mind-washed to make decisions about their sex as though removal of body organs and use of hormone therapy promoted as a panacea free of serious adverse effects.
How does the body work? You ought to know if you are about to make a life changing decision affecting the natural balance each of us are born with, despite some psychological (greatly subjective) issues adolescent and youth have.
Surgery and pharmaceuticals are promoted as part of a ‘permanent’ solution for children, permanent almost like suicide, which is a very permanent solution. What the average person does not appear to understand is current technology cannot possibly achieve anything close to the functionality that has been naturally designed into our bodies. Modern medicine, in this case, is like using hand grenade to solve a cutting a facet on a diamond.
“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14).
I would go as far as saying that all the adverse effects that are actually known in regards to somebody changing their sex could not possibly be highlighted or emphasized in the “disclosures” prior to surgery and administration of pharmaceuticals to alter the natural chemistry of the human body, otherwise, I do not believe anyone in their right mind would condone it.
What if the other side of the fence was far worse?
There was a fellow student in one of my nutrition classes who had an adopted boy. She had authorized sex change therapy at the age of 6 years old because she believed (based on what was told her by therapists, counselors, medical professionals, and her personal bias) that her adopted boy really wanted to be a girl. It was several years after this course of action was taken and here she was learning in our nutrition class about how the body’s hormonal systems work together in effort to regulate and balance the many critical functions of daily life and growth.
This poor middle aged mother of an adopted child was completely astonished that she may have very well made a substantially uneducated decision regarding her child’s life. Although this woman could have known better, how could she know that the forces that be would possibly “leave out” such critical information. In layman’s terms, you and I would call it “deception”, more bluntly and simply, “lying” – certainly something, as a medical professional, I would consider malpractice and oppose to the hippocratic oath of “do no harm.”
The traditions of Molech and Baal or not very far off the mark in today’s “enlightened” and “modern” society. A far as society goes, human nature does not change over time, unregenerate humanity does not change and is prone to evil.
Yet man is born to trouble as surely as sparks fly upward (Job 5:7).
Are you one of those types who think the reports of child abuse, sex trafficking, and organ harvesting are make-believe issues created by highly paid political operatives?
Another example which comes to mind is how do children suffer the consequences of failed government policies?

GOVERNMENT DESTROYING THE FAMILY AND CHILDREN
It’s welfare how could it be bad?
To emphasize some points, I would like to offer a few secular references.
If you take away the incentive to work and to be married with welfare policies that promote entitlement mentality and destroy marriages you end up with the destruction of many black families as a demographics show since the 1960s. Exactly what President Lyndon Johnson allegedly stated about keeping the blacks subservient to his political party.
“One of the most important social changes unfolding in the United States over the past half century has been the decline of the institution of marriage – a decline especially steep among blacks. In 1960, roughly 74% of whites were married, and the rate dropped to 56% in 2008. That is a big drop, but not compared to the plummeting marriage rate for blacks. In 1960, 61% of blacks were married in 1960, but by 2008 it was only 32%. Blacks also get divorced more often and remarry less frequently than whites.” (Scholars.org 10-16-2013).
Arguably, but also commonly understood is the asymmetricaly damaging effects on black families due to either nefarious or poorly understood welfare policies. What is self-evident is the great impact on black youth as a result of being raised without the traditional father and authority figure in the home.
“The black family, then, was delivered a devastating two-part blow during the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. While black urbanization was on the rise, black men were being kept out of the jobs that could financially sustain families coupled with a greater call for more and more welfare programs to provide “assistance” to black women with dependent children. These programs, as we know, made matters worse and destroyed the potential for black urban families to flourish. What followed were generational cycles of dependence” (lifesitenews.com 3/28/2013).
If you do not believe that these widespread effects of bad welfare policies are not part of an intentional attack on the strength of the black family and its roots in the Church, I offer you this excerpt:
[The Black Church in America] also gave them the moral authority to turn the mirror of religion back on their masters and to indict the nation for its original sin of allowing their enslavement to build up that “city upon a hill.” In exposing that hypocrisy at the heart of their “Christian” country, they exhorted succeeding generations to close the yawning gap between America’s founding ideals and the reality they had been forced to endure (“How the Black Church Saved Black America” – Harvard.edu 3-9-2021).

Through worship and obedience to God comes true freedom.
To emphasize the point, after the strengths of the Black Church as exhibited in the Civil War to the times of the Civil Rights Movement from the 1940s to the 1960s, what has happened to the Black community overall? Where has the influence of God through the Black Church gone which was instrumental in the survival and flourishing of Black Americans and the visionary leaders from the Civil War to the mid-20th Century; where are the like of Frederick Douglass, W.E.B Du Bois, Booker T. Washington, and Dr. Martin Luther King?
The strength of the Black Christian family in America, and by extension all Christian families, and the influence of the Church in America throughout all communities have been subject to the many forces aimed at weakening the marriage under a covenant with the God of the Bible.
Because the appetite of evil cannot be assuaged by mere mortal interventions, the final target are the children whose protections offered by a secure family have been weakened. Once the family unit has been degraded enough, know that the ultimate target to be placed under siege is your soul, it’s always been,

As parents and individuals we’ve abdicated a lot for a life of ease
Consider how the extent of the exploitation and modern sacrifice of children is not hidden from view, people have been blinded or desensitized to modern equivalent to children being burned in sacrifice to a pagan god, this worldly god.
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness…” (Romans 1:18).
We all have, both voluntarily and involuntarily, abdicated many of our responsibilities to institutions, including the government and its bureaucracies. We have turned away or have lived ignorantly of the laws set forth by God regarding marriage, good conscience, and the Moral Law. As a society, this slide into the abyss has been produced by a tolerance of depravity and a tolerance against God’s will which gives rise to the anti-God world.
Ultimately, what unrestrained evil cannot take by deception, it will attempt to take away by force.

Live from a Solid Base
Ensure the security of your soul now, through entry into God’s kingdom and eternal salvation, God is calling you to repentance from sin and acceptance and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is God’s solution, the strongest link made possible through God’s gift of Grace, the call to a direct relation to every man, woman or child without the hindrance of being confounded by worldly systems that leads to the wide path of destruction.
Who among you stalwarts, without the blessing of God Almighty, has the imperative to act in resistance to such evil that has an insatiable appetite to devour even children?
Seek the Narrow Gate. Wide is the path to destruction.
