Fatherhood in a Technological World – Message #37

Checking in to remind myself and explain to you why I am making these FTW blog articles.
The job of a father and a parent, as crucial as it is in society, technologically driven or not, is underemphasized. It is my intention that this collection of blog articles can help both young and experienced fathers (and their spouses) become better couples and parents. Although I  come from my own individual perspective and also observations and experiences from other fathers I know, you can take whatever can be universally applied to your own unique circumstances, wherever you are.

In the future, I will continue to provide tips on strengthening your parenting and marriage skills and offer more insights into the ongoing balancing act with the children’s use of technology.

It’s terribly ironic how, in my observation, most couples get married and have children without having any intensive training to prepared for what amounts to the most important decisions in their lives. I figure my wife and I fell into this category although we had experiences with nephews, nieces and other people’s children. In my case, I had the fortune of managing and supervising professionally, but that certainly is no substitute for raising children.

It is awesome and awe-inspiring  to bring a new life into this world and to rear up that new life. It is very solemn and fulfilling and will test and expand your concepts of what love, sacrifice, and personal responsibility are.

If you have any questions or issues you’d like to share with me, I invite you to send me an email by going to “Contact” on the website header.

About Fatherhood in a Technological World

Fathers of young children in today’s modern society are facing unprecedented challenges with the wave of technology allowing ever easier access to the internet. The effect on your children has and will have a great influence on their growth. As a parent, you may be feeling the anxiety of having to confront the challenges of being at the end of the rail of the powerful forces driving technology into the laps and hands of your children.

Your work is cut out for you are a father. Even though popular culture doesn’t do well to herald the value of the leadership role of men in the form of fathers, let me tell you right now, being a father in this time and age has never been more important.
