Working with your Inner Child

How valuable would it be for you to be at peace with who you are?

In my Inner Voice training, I am working with the concept that an important aspect of adulthood is resolving the problems that we experienced in childhood. In other words, as adults we strive to become the children we were meant to be, trying to find peace with who we are before all the negative influences, whether they were from people well intended or not.

The process of untangling yourself is part of determining your Purpose and from that Purpose can a well fueled passion be founded upon.

Parenting is hard, but I am fortunate to see many seemingly inexhaustible kinds of good qualities in my children and am learning to encourage their creativity, the qualities that allow them to dream big, be foolish enough to believe in the possibilities, play hard, laugh a lot and to be happy. Don’t we all wish we were encouraged to follow our hearts? (as long as it didn’t get us messed up in the process!).

It was with these ideals in mind that I was attracted to a passage in Eric Worre’s “Go Pro” (2013) from under a chapter called “It’s All Worth it.”

Whether or not you come from a Network Marketer’s standpoint, let’s check out what the man wrote…

Freedom is an interesting word. When it comes to work, I think we understand the concept, but not the entire meaning. For me, freedom means having choices. It means living a life I want to live instead of the life other people want me to live.

Do you remember the imagination you had as a child?
Imagine your life without limits.

-You wake up when you’re done sleeping.
-You’re doing work that is fulfilling and makes you happy.
-You get to work with people you enjoy.
-You don’t have to compromise all the time.
-You work when you feel like working but you also play when you feel like playing.
-You get to spend tons of time with the people who are important to you.
-You are living a big life and not wasting away in a box.

When you get a clear picture of what freedom is all about, you’ll find the price you’ll need to pay to achieve it in Network Marketing is very low. Facing your fears and living a life that’s free is easy. Spending the rest of your days living half a life is hard.
